ABOUT THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Massage – the manipulation of the soft tissue of the body – has been used as a healing therapy for many thousands of years. Records dating back to 2700 B.C. show that in China massage was used to treat paralysis, chills and fever. Hippocrates, the famous Greek physician writing in 400 B.C., recommended that physicians should treat sports and war injuries with massage and rubbing.

The ancient cultures of Japan, Egypt, Rome and Arabia all considered massage to be calming, soothing and relaxing, and also very important as a healing therapy. Now, in the 21st century, there are many different kinds of massage therapies available, each of which offers specific benefits to the mind and body.

There are some highly specialized massage techniques which are specifically designed to meet the needs of clients at certain, very special times in their lives.

Massage uses either the therapist’s hands or, in some cases, mechanical means, to manipulate the body’s soft tissue, especially the muscles.

There are numerous different kinds of massage, which focus on healing the body and mind.

In addition, there are some highly specialized forms of massage including:

* lymphatic drainage massage
* massage for cancer-patients
* massage for the elderly.

I offer routine, standard type of massage therapy, such as a HOLISTIC body massage and the
CLINICAL massage - both tailored to client's / patient's state of health and specific needs.

Additionally I also offer lymphatic drainage massage which is applied using a variety of homeopathic and medical remedies, depending on particular needs of the patient.

Prior to performing any massage I discuss medical history and clinical condition of my potential clients / patients. Further therapy and its success is very much dependent on correct diagnosis and application of therapy.

Being a medical doctor gives me an obvious advantage over non-medically qualified standard massage therapists therefore I wish you would be very happy for to having a session of treatment when every aspect of your both Health & Wellbeing will be fulfilled to your best!

It seems to be crucial at this point for me to emphasize that as a medicine doctor and the biologist and also the Complementary and Alternative Medicine consultant and practitioner, I follow regime of treatments according to evidence-based medicine. This is always considered by every medical stuff at every GP-surgery and the hospital.
On the other hand I do believe and remain within full respect to every individual perception of the treatment, which has not necessarily be proven by any scientific and thus general assessment as in my opinion it should always be reserved a space for an immanent and only individually personal feelings of everyone of us as everybody is different and unique to the point that even by the most sublimated methods of examination by the medical diagnostics not entirely assessable to the very end.
So thus, the first rule I obey should always be "Not to harm" and the second: "Treat with aim to restore the personal well-being by all means".
